Lack of didactic planning and formative evaluation in the development of oral communication in secondary school

The purpose of this study is to analyze the deficiencies in didactic planning and formative evaluation used by the teacher to develop oral communication skills in eighth grade students at an educational center in Chontales, Nicaragua. Method: through a qualitative and descriptive approach, interviews and observations were carried out in the classroom, whose data were analyzed through triangulation, contrasting the information with theories on didactics of oral communication. Results: the results revealed the absence of structured planning and the lack of continuous formative evaluation, which limits the development of communicative skills. Conclusion: It is concluded that it is necessary to implement clear didactic sequences, frequent formative evaluations and integrated technological tools to improve the learning of oral communication.
