Conflictivity and territory in water management practices in the Cuenca del Alto Lerma

This essay seeks to contribute to the understanding of the relationships between the rural and the urban, in the context of water management at a microsocial level in the Alto Lerma Basin, a territorial approach is proposed that overcomes the traditional division between rural and urban studies and studies, urban, focusing on experiences at the local level. The research is based on the idea that water managers play a crucial role as mediators in conflicts related to water management and that their decisions influence the nature and intensity of these conflicts. A documentary review was carried out to understand the management configuration in these municipalities and semi-structured interviews were carried out to classify the main manifestations of conflict in water management at the local level. Finally, conflicts related to water, its management and supply were found, which are illustrated with experiences of the inhabitants of the region.
