The objective of this article is to analyze the relationship of the subject with the truth based on the practices linked to the Foucauldian notion of self-care in the context of the pandemic with the intention of outlining a brief diagnosis of the present. To do this, at first and following Foucault, we will start by explaining what epimeleia heautou consists of; Later, we will return to the relationship between subject- truth given by the practices framed in self-care following the interpretation of the French philosopher of the Platonic and Hellenic moment; Finally, we will propose some reflections on the practices that occurred in the context of the pandemic and that could be traced as forms of self-care within the context of contemporary medical discourses as a form of a brief diagnosis of the present. In this sense, we defend the hypothesis that self- care today is mainly a medical issue.
