Call for Paper 5(2): EDUCATION, THE TEACHING PROFESSION, AND SOCIAL CHANGE

The Latin American Journal of Humanities and Educational Divergences is a biannual open-access journal published by Grupo J. J. San Marcos (Peru). Its mission is to disseminate research in the fields of the humanities and education that examines critical issues in contemporary society with the aim of contributing to its just, equitable, and dignified transformation. The journal accepts unpublished and original scholarly works, particularly research articles (qualitative and/or quantitative studies, as well as conceptual reflections), book reviews, and, occasionally, interviews.

 

For the call for submissions for its second issue, which is part of the fifth volume (2026), the journal is organizing a special section on “Education, the Teaching Profession, and Social Change,” whose purpose is to encourage research on the teaching profession as it relates to educational levels (elementary and higher education), from diverse perspectives of knowledge, thereby promoting empirical systematization, analysis, and critical reflection in a comprehensive manner to foster interdisciplinary dialogue that defines the impact of teaching practice on societal change, based on educational mediation in a broad, transformational sense.

 

The deadline for submitting contributions is November 30, 2026. Submissions must be made through the journal’s OJS:

Important:

  • Articles must use APA citation style (7th edition), must be unpublished, and must not be submitted simultaneously to another journal. The minimum length is 12 pages and the maximum is 25; in both cases, submissions must be sent as a .docx or .doc file in letter format, with 2.5-inch margins and 1.5 line spacing.
  • For book reviews, the minimum length is 5 pages and the maximum is 10, with the same formatting requirements as articles.
